THE GENERAL IDEA OF THE SYSTEM
FOR GENERATION OF SHIP'S HULL ELEMENT DIMENSIONS

This presentation introduces founding of a system for control and assessment of ship hull manufacturing process. It includes description of thermodeformation phenomena resulting from welding shrinkage and its influence on shape and dimensions of prefabricated products used in shipbuilding. The solutions based on analyses of hull construction, sequence and options of technological manufacturing thermal processes are presented. The functional structure of a system is defined. The purpose of the system is to generate production data. The input data are construction geometry from CAD system and characteristics of manufacturing processes. Aspects of software implementation and specification of CAD/CAM interface are also described.
